Golf Cart Operation Rules

Golf cart owners within Nassau Grove, all residents, including homeowners, housemates, tenants, and their guests, need to observe the following guidelines to ensure safety and community harmony:

1. Licensed Drivers Only

Golf carts may only be operated by individuals who possess a valid driver’s license. This requirement applies to all users, regardless of age or residency status.

2. Approved Areas for Driving

Golf carts are permitted to travel solely on community streets, driveways, and the designated parking lot. Driving on sidewalks, grassy areas, bridges, or any location outside these specified paths is strictly forbidden.

3. Compliance with Traffic Regulations

Operators must obey all traffic laws that pertain to automobiles. This includes following posted speed limits, stopping at stop signs, and utilizing headlights and taillights as appropriate.

4. Parking Restrictions

Golf carts should be parked only in designated parking areas. On-street parking is not allowed under any circumstances.

5. Caution Near Ponds and During Vendor Activity

Operators should exercise extra caution when driving near the ponds or when vendors (such as mowers, trimmers) and contractors hired by homeowners are present in the neighborhood.

6. Adherence to Manufacturer Safety Recommendations

All safety recommendations and guidelines issued by the golf cart manufacturer must be followed at all times to ensure safe operation and prevent accidents.

7. Overnight Storage Requirement

Golf carts must be stored inside the garage overnight. Leaving golf carts outside or in other areas overnight is not permitted.
