Pets

Pets – Nassau Grove is a non-age-restricted community that welcomes people of all ages and their pets. With pet ownership comes a huge responsibility to care for them and provide them with the exercise and relief accommodations they need. To that end, the Association has established several rules and guidelines to accommodate pet owners and protect our community residents and their property.
Governance, Rules & Penalties
Rule 5. Pet Waste.
Pet waste must be immediately picked up and properly disposed of in the pet owner’s unit trash receptacle, a designated pet waste receptacle, or the clubhouse commercial dumpsters.
Do not place pet waste in any clubhouse or surrounding area trash receptacle.
Board of Directors Rule
Code of Regulations, Section 5.6 (b)
Declaration, Section 9(u)
Delaware Uniform Common Interests Ownership Act (DUCIOA) § 81-320
Rule 5. Penalty.
- $25.00 fine assessment per occurrence.
Only use Common Property for their relief. Common property includes areas where houses back up to each other (only down the middle), around the gazebo, near parking areas, near the front entrance, and around the ponds. Remember, there is little to no Common Area in front of homes. These areas are Limited Common property and belong exclusively to the homeowners.
PET WASTE STATIONS are located at both ends of the bridge over the pond, or pet waste can be disposed of in Clubhouse Dumpsters. Otherwise, please take your pet waste home and dispose of it. Please DO NOT use the trash cans located around the Clubhouse, Bocce Court, Pool Area, or Pool House Restrooms for pet waste.
Remember:
- Your pet must be leashed at all times.
- Be mindful if you have a dog that barks excessively, change its location in your home or yard, and be thoughtful of your neighbors.
- If you have an aggressive pet, move to the other side of the street if you see another pet approaching.
- Your guests and visitors must also abide by NG’s Pet Rules and Guidelines. Offer them a pet waste disposable bag on their way out to walk or to let their pet relieve itself.
