Homeowner’s Insurance Coverage
Mandatory Insurance Coverage
All homeowners in Nassau Grove are required to obtain property insurance. This coverage must specifically apply to single-family homes and include all limited common elements as indicated on each homeowner’s plot plan.
Additional Interest Endorsement
Homeowners must request their insurance provider to add the Homeowners’ Association (HOA) as an additional interest endorsement to their policy.
If a homeowner’s insurance policy does not include the HOA as an additional interest, the homeowner must notify the HOA of every annual renewal or any changes to their insurance policy by completing the Notice to Council Inability to Include Additional Interest form.
HOA Master Insurance Policy
The HOA’s master insurance policy provides coverage exclusively for Common Elements, as defined in Special Resolution 2019-01, which was adopted on April 5, 2019. Homeowners can access the full-resolution version in the Governing Documents section under Governance & Finance on the HOA website’s member tab.
It is important to note that Additional Interest endorsements do not provide coverage to an Additional Interest (HOA); it simply requires the insurer to provide cancellation or non-renewal notification to the Additional Interest.
