Sussex County Council – Billing Division

The responsibilities of this division are billing of taxes and sanitary sewer and water districts, as well as collecting outstanding invoices from customers. This includes tax, utility, and miscellaneous bills, such as rent.

Residents are billed quarterly by the Council’s Billing Division. Due dates are 2/5, 5/5, 8/5, and 11/5. The billing has two parts, with the Sewer Assessment based on the costs incurred each year. There are 30 districts in Sussex County, and each is self-sustaining. The Sewer Service is based on the front footage of each lot.
