Amenities Maintenance & Care
Nassau Grove’s saltwater pool and baby pool are professionally maintained by a contractor hired by the HOA. Residents have access to in-pool umbrellas, lounge chairs, and tables with umbrellas and chairs, all cared for by volunteers from the Common Grounds Group. In the summer, the tiki bar offers a social space, while the patio with its large stone fireplace becomes a gathering spot in the fall.
Outdoor amenities include sidewalks around the ponds and throughout the neighborhood, as well as facilities for tennis, pickleball, bocce, walking, and biking. There is also a catch-and-release pond available for fishing.
The clubhouse features a fitness center, kitchen, and rooms for billiards, ping pong, reading, theater-style movie watching, card and board games, and crafting. Residents can socialize in the bar area or by the fireplace, and the clubhouse can be reserved for private parties. Maintenance of the clubhouse is handled through contracts for heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, security, and fire prevention, with year-round monitoring by dedicated volunteers.
It is the responsibility of each member of the Nassau Grove Community to follow guidelines for the facilities to maintain them in safe, clean, and top-notch condition for all homeowners. As the amenities reach the end of their useful lives, they are replaced through careful saving and planning of the homeowners’ dues.
Front-Flower Bed Maintenance
The HOA contracts Sullivan’s Landscaping & Maintenance for front garden bed care. Services include weeding, edging, mulching, shrub trimming, and clipping crape myrtle branches that touch the house.
Irrigation
Sullivan’s Landscaping and Maintenance also maintains the Nassau Grove irrigation system. Homeowners are responsible for identifying leaks or broken sprinklers, while NG volunteers verify issues and assist with routine repairs.
Nassau Grove benefits from two wells that supply water for the irrigation needs of the community, a savings for the homeowner.
Lawncare
The landscaping contractor provides weekly mowing and edging from spring through fall, as well as fertilizer applications as needed to maintain lawns.
Tree Care
The beautiful treescape of Nassau Grove is cared for by expert arborists. While some trees need to be removed and replaced with new plantings, others undergo pruning or fertilization ensuring the longevity of the trees in our community.
Services Performed by HPS Management
Services Performed by HPS Management HPS provides a wide range of services for Nassau Grove. These include:
- Managing NG funds of $1.4 million dollars.
- Collecting quarterly dues from homeowners through a third party lock-box service.
- Sending a weekly News Digest to residents.
- Distributing emails requested by the BOD, including meeting notices and updates, such as changes in mowing schedules.
- Informing volunteers of pending home sales.
- Sending letters regarding violations identified during the annual walk-around inspection.
- Sending letters about delinquent dues or missing insurance coverage.
- Investigating reports of disruptive behavior in the community.
- Collecting payments for new or replacement cards and fobs.
- Issuing bids to selected contractors for maintenance or repairs requested by the BOD.
Snow Removal
When snow reaches a depth of 3 inches, streets in Nassau Grove are plowed to ensure safe passage for residents.
Trash & Recycling Pick-up
Casella’s Waste handles weekly trash and community dumpster removal, as well as by-weekly recycling pickup. Twice a year, the HOA provides dumpsters for yard waste disposal, funded by your homeowner dues.
